Video Project

The video didn't end up going in the direction I was originally planning due to some hiccups with Final Cut Pro on my computer. If I were to go back and fix it without getting frustrated I would want to add some background music probably of the dramatic genre. My video is about eating disorder awareness. I wish I could say I wrote the poem, but it's actually one I found that was much longer and about crystal meth, a lot of the lines were similar to an eating disorder so I took some parts and changed it to be about E.D.

Finally Loaded! Slideshow Project

Success! The video was finally able to load. My internet must have been affected by the winds last night. RCN tends to be wonky during those times. Anyway, this was an incredibly frustrating project and I wish I would have dedicated much more time to it to fiddle around with the various aspects of the sound and the images. I have worked with slideshows before through iPhoto, but this was my first time using iMovie and GarageBand. I found myself really confused by GarageBand not being able to figure out most of the capabilities that we were learning about or that I was attempting to mess with, unfortunately. It will be really interesting how the next segment goes with shooting footage and putting together a video portrait project. 

Slide Show Compilation

The sounds were a compilation of street noise, so I went ahead and paired it with a variety of street photos. The photos don't necessarily go with the photos presented, so it is a bit of an abstract mashup. I tried to make a narrative going through the day from arriving to Manhattan to night time.

Matilda Photo Narrative

Originally, I was going to be using my friends Flat Stanley project she is lugging around the city for her nephew, however Flat Stanley is made of paper and proved himself to be pretty useless in the wind. It was going to be Flat Stanley goes to Broadway! Because that is what a man shouted at my friend and I as I attempted to take Flat Stanley's photo in front of Matilda. So alas, this is now simply Matilda.
